I think he is wring on point #2. The world does NOT level up with you. It is already there waiting for your level 3 character to stumble upon an orc at level 20. It is like Fallout 3 in that regard.
I still have two copies of it. My son and I play all the time. It is a great co-op game. As for the beta key. That is not why I kept it, but it will be used.

No really. It has happened. I am actually ENJOYING the game. Still now I play mostly every day. Go ahead and disagree... But, it is true. I have not had any issues yet.
I am at 150 hours (xbox360), And have yet to see any bugs.... Save for only one backward flying dragon. I guess I am lucky. I also cary about 10 saves throughout my questing just incase. It is kind of like wearing a seat belt. You don't ever WANT to get in a car accident, but when you do you are glad you had it on.

It was a lot of effort, and hats off to them. But. Just showing iconic locations, and characters, and sound effects does not make for an interesting "trailer". How about some narration, or back story to get our hopes up.
considering those two games came out in 1997-1998 it wasn't THAT long ago. I was 25 years old then.
The point "we" (the ones who disagree with the initial story) are trying to make is that games today do way too much hand holding. Fine, give us a training level but stop telling us what button to press during the final boss battle 10 hours into the game. I would like to think we have got the gaming controls down by then.
